It's with a great deal of sadness that I've just heard Pat Narey sensei from the UK Aikikai passed away in the early hours this morning. My thoughts are with her family, friends and students. It was always a pleasure being taught by and training with Pat, she was one of the good ones and will be greatly missed.

New website layout finished, still a few more nips and tucks to make - mainly with the gallery pages which haven't been re-added yet.

Well done to the four students who passed the gradings on Thursday night. All did well.

Certificates!

The photo above was taken in our club upon the presentation of dan grade certificates from Japan. The certificates are signed by Maruyama sensei who was a direct student of O Sensei, the founder of Aikido. Toni was given her shodan certificate and John his sandan after both of them tested for and successfully passed their grading.

Congratulations to Az and family on their new addition... We now have a mini smiling assassin in the club ;).

There's no easy way to say this but yesterday, Michael Wielobob who's been a member of our club since moving to the boys club very sadly took his own life. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and loved ones. Take care Mike, wherever you are.
